Popularity of EAPs
EAP are wide spread with the US. Over 100 million American workers have access to such a service. The 2008 SHRM survey found that 75% of businesses offered an EAP to its workforce, showing a steady growth over the last twenty years (over 200% increase in market penetration) of EAP introductions across the continent. Especially large employers and multinationals are more likely to implement an EAP thus making the introduction of EAPs through its subsidiaries in Europe a fact and creating momentum amongst locally based companies to follow this trend.
